Today marks the beginning of a new chapter. For the past 12 years, I’ve been running my creatively (read: lazily) named solo business: Jonathan Bennett. In that time, I’ve worked with everyone from local engineering shops to Fortune 500 tech giants, building everything from marketing sites to internal tools to SaaS products.
But that (mostly) changes today.
I’ve accepted a full-time role at a little startup you might’ve heard of — Cisco. My new title? Senior Build Engineer. Not too shabby for my first day working for the man.
I’m excited to see how things work inside a company a few orders of magnitude bigger than I’m used to, get more hands-on with a team, and tackle some big, thorny problems.
I’ll still be writing here, and all the side projects are still happening. Don’t be a stranger!
