Write Bug Reports That Wow Your Team!

Good bug reports are wonderful things. They can make the difference in an issue being quickly resolved, or taking 15 back-and-forth emails.

What makes for a good report? There are a few key elements:

  1. A description of what you expected to happen and what actually happened.
  2. A screenshot or video of the error happening.
  3. A link to the page where the error happened if possible.
  4. An exact copy of any error messages you received.
  5. Any other details you find odd ie this worked on Product A but didn’t on Product B.

Providing these details make it much easier to address any issues that could come up.
